Step-by-Step: Preparing Documents for TSPSC Online Application

1

Get your photograph clicked

Use a recent photo (within 6 months) against a plain white background. You can use a studio photo or a clear mobile camera photo in good lighting. Avoid patterns or colored backgrounds — the tspsc.gov.in portal will reject them. Wear formal attire. No sunglasses.

2

Resize photo to 200×230px using the Photo Resize tool

Open the Photo Resize tool, upload your photo, set width to 200 and height to 230, and adjust quality to bring the file under 50KB. Download the resized JPG. This is the file you upload to tspsc.gov.in.

3

Prepare your signature

Sign your name on plain white paper using a black or dark blue ball pen. Photograph or scan it clearly. Open the Signature Crop tool, upload the image, crop tightly around your signature, and resize to 140×60px under 30KB. Save as JPG.

4

Scan and compress your certificates

Scan each certificate at 150–200 DPI to keep file sizes manageable. If a PDF is over 1MB, use the PDF Compress tool to reduce it. If you have multi-page certificates, use PDF Merge to combine them. If certificates are images, convert with Image to PDF first.

5

Verify file names and sizes before uploading

Before visiting tspsc.gov.in, confirm: photo is under 50KB, signature under 30KB, all PDFs under 1MB. Some TSPSC notifications specify different limits — always read the official notification carefully. Rename files simply (e.g., photo.jpg, signature.jpg) to avoid portal errors from special characters.

Common Reasons TSPSC Applications Get Rejected Due to Document Issues

Photo not exactly 200×230px

Many applicants upload photos in different dimensions. The portal either rejects or distorts the image. Use the resize tool to get exact dimensions.

Photo file exceeds 50KB

Even if dimensions are correct, a photo larger than 50KB will be rejected by tspsc.gov.in. Adjust JPEG quality to bring it under the limit.

PNG uploaded instead of JPG

The portal specifically requires JPG/JPEG format. PNG files are not accepted. Always convert to JPG before uploading.

Non-white background in photo

Studio photos sometimes use off-white or light-colored backgrounds. TSPSC requires plain white. Ask your studio specifically for a white background.

PDF document exceeds 1MB

Scanned certificates at high resolution easily exceed 1MB. Compress each PDF before uploading. Multi-page PDFs especially need compression.

Blurred or unclear scanned documents

Caste certificates or marks memos that are not legible get rejected during document verification. Scan at 150 DPI minimum, keep text sharp.

About TSPSC Exam Applications

The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) conducts recruitment for Group 1 (Deputy Collector, DSP, Regional Transport Officer, etc.), Group 2 (Sub-Registrar, Mandal Revenue Officer, etc.), Group 4 (Junior Assistant, Typist), Panchayat Secretary, and dozens of other posts across Telangana government departments.

All TSPSC applications are submitted online through tspsc.gov.in. The portal has strict file size and format requirements — especially for photo and signature — that many first-time applicants miss. Caste certificates and other documents issued in తెలుగు (Telugu) are accepted — just ensure the scan is clear and the PDF is under 1MB.

Candidates from the AP region who are also applying for APPSC exams will find the document requirements nearly identical — the same 200×230px photo and 140×60px signature specs apply. You can use the same prepared files on both portals.

All tools on this page work entirely in your browser. Your Aadhar card, caste certificate, and other sensitive documents are never uploaded to any server.

Applying to APPSC too?

APPSC (Andhra Pradesh PSC) uses the same photo and signature specs. One set of documents works for both.

What is the exact photo size required for TSPSC applications?
TSPSC requires a passport-size photograph of 200×230 pixels (width × height). The photo must be in JPG format with a maximum file size of 50KB. The background must be plain white and the photo should be recent — taken within the last 6 months.
What are the TSPSC signature image requirements?
Your signature must be scanned or photographed against a white background and resized to 140×60 pixels. File must be JPG, maximum 30KB. Sign with a black or dark blue pen on white paper for best contrast.
What is the maximum PDF size for documents on tspsc.gov.in?
The TSPSC portal generally accepts PDF documents up to 1MB per file. Compress each document — Marks Memos, Caste Certificate, Degree Certificate — separately to under 1MB before uploading.
Can I use a mobile phone photo for TSPSC?
Yes, provided it meets the technical requirements — 200×230px, white background, clear face, JPG, under 50KB. Take the photo in good natural light against a plain white wall. Avoid shadows. Use our Photo Resize tool to get dimensions and file size exactly right.
Which documents are required for TSPSC Group 1 application?
Typically: Passport photo (200×230px), Signature (140×60px), SSC Marks Memo, Intermediate Marks Memo, Degree Certificate, Caste Certificate (BC/SC/ST/EWS from Telangana authority), Nativity Certificate, Income Certificate (if applicable), Aadhar Card, and PH or Ex-Serviceman certificate where applicable.
My TSPSC application was rejected for photo issues. What went wrong?
Most common reasons: photo not exactly 200×230px, file over 50KB, PNG format instead of JPG, non-white background, face not clearly visible, or an old photograph. Use our resize tool to fix dimensions and file size, then reapply when the edit window is open.
